Elevating marginalized communities
Our mission is to promote diversity, inclusivity and equity by facilitating educational initiatives, encouraging open dialog and fostering cooperation. We strive to elevate marginalized communities, encourage empathy and acceptance, and challenge physical and metaphorical barriers.
We are based out of Wells County, Indiana
Here is a list of our activities that we have on a regularly scheduled basis and panels that we try to host a couple of times a year:
1. Above and Beyond: Bi-weekly educational group sessions. Above is designed for the middle school age, and the Beyond group is designed for high school-aged students. Focus is on community service and bettering the community and themselves.
2. Dive–In monthly meetings: These meetings range in education topics of workplace diversity, parenting of neurodiverse children and designed for post high-school and adults.
3. Entertainment events like Halloween and Winter Holiday events for the marginalized communities where all are welcome to attend at no charge.
4. Community panels: We have held several panels where members of community and spread about a variety of topics such as Being Black in a rural community, Addiction & Recovery, and a panel living with disabilities.
5. Community service projects: We have regular clean up events a year and fundraising for filling and maintaining a resource pantry for feminine products, school and bathroom supplies.
